Where to Shop ~ Paris

Impeccable modern/vintage shopping, restaurants, and more…

Discovering Rue du Cherche-Midi.

Charlotte Mullor is a fashion designer who I discovered a year ago on my very favorite street in the 6th arrondissements Rue du Cherche-Midi.

Charlotte’s store is not only my favorite for fashion, but I also made a new friend. Her handknit sweater collection is beyond. I always leave with pieces I just can’t live without…

Incredible variety of shops and restaurants…

Also on Rue du Cherche-Midi is the incredible Robert Clergerie shoes. This is my favorite stroll for quaint scenes and shopping finds (other than the Marais).

So many small stores with local curation and plenty of places to eat.  La Petit Lutecia, The Crying Tiger and Le Cherche Midi are my top three.

Speaking of Marais…

It’s the one neighborhood with all the fashion hits. The Frankie Shop has two locations on the Rue Saint-Claude. And on Rue de Thorigny  is the Citizen Concept Store which is my favorite vintage store. Be prepared to spend! My last trip landed me a vintage Guy Laroche dress and Jean Paul Gaultier skirt that I cherish.

Recently I was turned on to Fauré Le Page - where I bought a green handbag that I love. Fauré Le Page was originally established in 1716, and remained a family business until 1913. The evolution and history of Paris is woven into every element of the city and is diametrically opposed to the modernity of the US. It always offers a fresh perspective, steeped in tradition, for how to live beautifully.
